The judges for this year’s Scottish Creative Awards' four new categories launched in conjunction with the Scottish Newspaper Society have been announced ahead of this week’s deadline day (Friday 22 August) for entries.

Aiming to celebrate marketing excellence in newspapers the four new categories include Best Newspaper Display Campaign/Section, Best Newspaper Classified Campaign/Section, Best Newspaper Creative Solution/Invention Campaign and Best Newspaper Digital Campaign.

Casting their expert eyes over the entries will be Carat Scotland CEO, Sue Holloway; Rob Nicol, managing partner at PHD UK; VisitScotland’s head of marketing, Helen Campbell; and Steven Walker, director of corporate development at STV.

Of the panel, Scottish Newspaper Society director, John McLellan, said: "We are very fortunate to have a team of such highly-respected and experienced industry figures to judge this section. We're very grateful to them for giving up their time for this and we'll very much look forward to the results of their deliberations."

The winners of the four new categories will be announced on Thursday 9 October at the Marriott Hotel, Glasgow along with the winners of the creative and strategy categories.

More information on the four new categories - which are open for entries until Friday 22 August - can be found on the Scottish Creative Awards site.
