Sugar brand Whitworths has appointed Cogent Elliott London as its integrated creative agency.

The appointment, following a competitive pitch, will see the agency tasked with brand building and support across its key retailers, while an integrated communications strategy will aim to grow brand awareness.

Sudan Anderson, head of marketing for Whitworths, confirmed the appointment and said that the “strategic and creative approach” from Cogent resonated with the brand.

Lucy Hudson, business unit director for Cogent London, said of Whitworths: “It is a great brand that we know we can produce some really exciting creative work with, whilst driving their commercial goals throughout the UK.”

Cogent launched its London office earlier this year, with Hudson having joined from Karmarama.
