Automotive servicing and repair company Kwik Fit is reviewing its advertising agency support for the first time in 11 years.

Incumbent adam&eveDDB, which has created campaigns including “You’ll be Amazed”, “Mate’s Rates” and “What Your Car Would Choose”, has advised Kwik Fit that it will not be seeking to participate in a re-pitch.

Antonia Noone, head of marketing at Kwik Fit, said: “We have had a very good relationship with adam&eveDDB and they have created some effective campaigns to support the brand. We are very grateful for their support over more than a decade. However, we feel that the time is right to review our approach to above-the-line activity and we accept that the adam&EveDDB team do not wish to take part in that review.”

Kwik Fit changed ownership in 2011 when Itochu bought the company from private equity owners PAI Partners.

The new management is making a “significant” capital investment in a complete overhaul of the company’s network of more than 600 centres, as well as developing new product and service offerings.

Kwik Fit will be handling the review in-house and has already shortlisted a number of agencies. Its other agency support, including the media and below-the-line accounts, is unaffected by this review.
