Lord Chadlington, the outgoing chief executive at Huntsworth Group, has been described as “a titan” of the PR industry by the director general of membership organisation, PRCA, Francis Ingham.

On the day that Chadlington announced his intention to step down as the communcations company’s group chief executive, Ingham commented: “During his career to date, he [Chadlington] has contributed to the modern idea of what a communications agency can and should be. He did this first when he built Shandwick into the largest PR firm in the UK, and then again when he took over at Huntsworth.

“His unique talent is to create a single business model that works equally well across the worlds of corporate, financial, consumer, healthcare, public affairs – everything. This 360-degree vision for a modern communications business has been much imitated but rarely matched.

“As well as being a fearless business leader, this PRCA Fellow is incredibly well connected, charming and erudite. I look forward to seeing what he does next,” Ingham concluded.

The search for a successor for Chadlington has now begun.
