Webuyanycar.com amplifies Channel 4 comedy sponsorship with integrated campaign
Webuyanycar.com is amplifying its sponsorship of original comedy on Channel 4 with an integrated marketing campaign featuring new idents, narrated by James Corden.
The giant balloon cars used in the national ATL campaign also feature in the idents which show a series of comical juxtapositions where the life-size inflatables are places into real-life motoring scenarios.
Developed by Driven, the idents will feature around Channel 4 comedy shows including ‘8 Out of 10 Cats’ and ‘Alan Carr: Chatty Man’.
“Although we take our role as the UK’s favourite car buying service seriously, we’ve always been a brand with a good sense of humour,” said a spokesperson for webuyanycar.com.
“The comedy campaign allows us to engage people with the brand at a deeper level - although we still haven’t found a good punchline to our Jimmy and Alan Carr joke.”
The brand has also planned a series of real world activities to run alongside the sponsorship including comedy ticket giveaways and social media engagement tactics.
