Nissan appoints Ketchum to handle UEFA Champions League and Super Cup partnership as it replaces Ford as sponsor after 22 years
Nissan has selected Ketchum’s London office to work on its sponsorship of the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Super Cup following a three-way pitch.
The four-year agreement between Nissan and UEFA starts next season and sees Nissan replace Ford as sponsor after 22 years.
Ketchum London’s Clare Pring, partner and managing director of UK brand practice, added: “We’re very pleased to be working with such an ambitious client on one of the most exciting competitions in football. I’m really proud that we’ve been chosen to provide this support.”
The collaboration will sit alongside Nissan’s other sporting partnerships including the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, Olympic Teams Great Britain and Mexico, Canadian Football League and Nissan GT-R ambassador Usain Bolt.
As official partner, Nissan will have rights to the matches, pre-match training sessions, content, media, hospitality, events and the final. The multi-channel offering from Nissan will focus on enhancing the football fan experience.
