Nike has launched a new online campaign aimed specifically at women following the insight that they are more likely to exercise when they do it together.

Hosted on the brand's website, ‘Chase Summer’ is the first piece of activity in the wake of Nike’s World Cup push and urges women to ‘grab their girls’ and chase summer together.

On social media, Nike has also encouraged women to register a ‘crew hashtag’ and use the Nike apps including Nike+ running, NikeFuel and Nike Training Club to track their minutes, miles and fuel points over the summer.

Those who do then have the chance to win an invite to an exclusive Nike event later in the summer.

Earlier this year, Nike was hailed as the winner of the World Cup social media battle despite being an unofficial sponsor. It racked up 232,000 social mentions while official partner Adidas had only 129,000 mentions.
