The Drum’s Creative Showcase took centre stage at The Drum Live event with a little help from Blippar.
We handed the reins over to our associate editors on the day to help us choose which projects would feature within the Creative Showcase pages of the printed magazine and in doing so collaborated with Blippar to create an interactive showcase experience.
Featuring all 24 projects submitted prior to the event, Blippar worked its magic to create interactive boards that our associate editors could ‘blipp’ on the day to watch the TV ads, access additional content and vote for the projects they liked best.
In addition to all that, BJL’s London director Paul Bentley joined The Drum on the day to select his ‘Director’s Choice’, awarding the accolade to AMV BBDO for its Kids Co. campaign (see video above). Bentley describes the campaign as “ambitious” and “evocative”, balancing “the point of view of the child whilst also turning the spotlight on the establishment”.
Combining the blipps of The Drum Live associate editors and the votes of The Drum’s Creative Showcase online readers, VCCP’s ‘Unlock the World’ for Avis was crowned Readers’ Favourite and Undertone’s head of client service, Hugh Evans, who also participated in The Drum Live, selected Grain Media’s ‘Strip for Scope’ as the Sponsor’s Favourite.

Kameleon’s Rizzle Kicks music video for Evian, SapientNitro’s Sky Rainforest Rescue #TapForTrainers and The Palomar brand identity by Here Design were amongst the most popular blipps of the day and also feature in The Drum Live issue.
