Sainsbury’s has rolled out a new campaign offering tips for families on how to keep kids entertained and fed this summer.

The multi-channel ‘Summer Sorted’ campaign spans national TV & press advertising, digital and social media. The TV ads feature three real families who each recreate a recipe which includes advice on stretching a food budget, healthy solutions to grazing and ideas to make lunchtime meals interesting.

Sarah Warby, marketing director at Sainsbury’s, explained that real people were chosen to front the campaign because its customers want advice and ideas that are achievable from people who they can relate to.

“We know that the summer holidays can be both fun and challenging for parents who are constantly looking for ways to keep their children entertained, whilst sticking to a budget,” she continued. “Our Summer Sorted campaign offers help and guidance to cope with those extra meals and fun mealtime solutions that involve the whole family.”

In addition, the families have featured in an extended videos which are being released on the Sainsbury’s YouTube channel every Wednesday for the next month.

Meanwhile, Sainsbury’s, through their partnership with Nectar, has offered customers the chance to exchange their points for vouchers worth at least double at over 1,200 attractions across the UK.

To help parents entertain kids during the summer the retailer has also created an interactive ‘I Spy’ app.
