Today we can reveal the agencies, clients and projects nominated for the 2014 Dadi Awards, in association with Synergist, after judges praised the 'amazing' standard of work entered this year.

Top marketers from Philips, Google, Adobe and Visa were part of a wide-ranging judging panel that convened in London last week to choose the best digital work from a record number of entries, and their shortlist can now be viewed in full.

Leading the way in agency nominations is R/GA London with 16, Jam with eight and Manning Gottlieb OMD on seven. You can see a small sample of nominated work below.

However we will only find out who will be recognised as the top talents in digital at the Dadi ceremony at the Park Plaza, Westminster, on 1 October.

And if the judges' comments are anything to go by, the competition will be fierce.

"The spectrum of work was incredible from mobile apps to manage multiple projects worth over £1bn in the building industry to brave and intelligent responses to social media challenges – truly inspiring," said judge David Burgess, CEO of Reading Room UK.

Found managing director Tina Judic described the breadth and quality of the submissions as "truly amazing" while BJL CEO Nicky Unsworth said the effort agencies had put in was "evident throughout".

"The standard was high and submissions well thought through, which inevitably led to some heated debates amongst the judges," Unsworth added.

Dadi Awards chairman Phil Jones said: "Seven is supposed to be a lucky number and it worked out that way last week chairing my 7th DADI Awards. 36 judges from some of the leading brands and agencies in the country came together at the London Marriott to choose the best digital work from a record number of entries.

"The atmosphere throughout the day was collaborative and friendly and it was a pleasure to hear so many conversations going on around the room discussing the merits (or otherwise) of pieces of work. Also nice to see a few judges with specialist knowledge hopping between tables to help other judges when they had problems.

"The schoolteachers strike robbed us of one working mum but otherwise a full house and some fantastic judges made it another memorable and fun day."

The Dadi Awards is held in association with Synergist and sponsored by Kingston Smith W1, Millennial Media, Shazam and Unanimis.
