Cohn and Wolfe appoints two new senior vice presidents

Global communications agency, Cohn and Wolfe, today named Laura Giannatempo and Zach Perles as senior vice presidents of consumer practice.

The appointments will bring integrated marketing expertise to the growing agency.

Giannatempo and Perles will have key roles in the North America consumer practice and also sit on the agency’s digital leadership team. Based in New York, both will report to Liz Beck, executive vice president of US consumer practice.

These hires are part of Cohn and Wolfe’s wider strategy to invest in talent to push integrated marketing and digital work across practices.

This will aid with the agency with campaigns that combine paid, earned, shared and owned media, particularly in the consumer practice.

Laura Giannatempo will manage multiple account teams in the consumer practice, with a focus on food and beverage clients. Her extensive food background, including experience at culinary publications such as ‘Fine Cooking’ and a degree in professional culinary arts from the Institute of Culinary Education will help Giannatempo construct campaigns that stand out.

She joins the agency from RF Binder, where as senior managing director of consumer food and beverage she managed the strategy and execution of integrated marketing programs for clients such as Johnson and Johnson, The Hershey Company and Talenti Gelato and Sorbetto.

Zach Perles will supervise lifestyle client teams within the consumer practice. He has experience working as vice president of global marketing and communications at Prince Sports where he supported the company’s new business process and oversaw integrated partnerships with outlets such as NBC Sports and Twitter.
