Over 280m interactions makes World Cup final biggest sporting event in Facebook history
The World Cup Final between Germany and Argentina led to more than 280 million Facebook interactions, with over 88 million people getting involved in the conversation.

Mario Götze from the German team and Lionel Messi from Argentine were the men of the match in terms of social buzz, with the Götze goal being one of the top discussed moment of the game.
More than seven million people in Argentina and five million people in Germany were involved in the conversation, although United States (10.5 million) and Brazil (10 million) led the way in terms of interactions.
The Germany versus Argentina game also smashed Twitter records in terms of conversation.
