The Drum's managing director, Diane Young, has been named Publishing Innovator of the Year at the PPA Awards

Young was up against nominees from Apptitude Media, Dezeen, PA Life, Forum Events Media, Think, The Slow Journalism Company, Procurement Leaders and Progressive Customer Publishing in the Under £10m category.
Meanwhile, other winners on the evening were IPC's Woman and Home Magazine which was named as Consumer Magazine of the Year and Consumer Brand of the Year, while Business Magazine of the Year was Health Service Journal owned by Emap and Business Media Brand of the Year was Sigaria's Procurement Leaders title.
Celebrity Intelligence, owned by Centaur was crowned Digital Innovation of the Year in Business Media Editor of the Year in the Consumers category was Dylan Jones from GQ and Fiona Goodless from BMJ won in the Business section.
Tribute was paid toDennis Publishing founder, Felix Dennis, with a special three-minute video tribute put together by Dennis staff.
Barry McIlheney, PPA CEO, said: “Congratulations to all of this year’s thoroughly deserving winners. The PPA Awards have set the standard for excellence in our industry for more than 30 years now, and this year’s winners stand proud as the individuals, brands and companies that are setting new standards and forging new directions at such a hugely exciting time for our industry.”
Haymarket chief Lord Heseltine was also inducted into the PPA Hall of Fame.
