Barbour is asking its Twitter, Facebook and Instagram followers to share their summer stories for the chance to have their response glorified in a custom-made illustration, which will feature in an animated film.

The #BarbourSummer campaign looks to promote the lifestyle aspect of the brand and is being delivered by creative agency This Here.

Barbour’s digital manager, Rebecca Cairney, commented: “We’re constantly looking for ways to showcase the unique position that Barbour has as a lifestyle brand, and what better way to do this than through the illustrations of our customer's real summer stories?

"It’s a fun way to engage with our followers and to find out more about how they’ll be wearing Barbour throughout the summer, whether that be by donning one of our jackets at a rainy festival, taking one of our bags to the park with them for a picnic or by wearing one of our t-shirts on a hot day trip to a city.”

The film is set to be released on 25 July, based on the illustrations by Russian-based artist Andrew Mashnov.

Those featured in the film will also have the opportunity to ‘wear their summer on their sleeve’ as they receive a limited-edition #BarbourSummer T-shirt, featuring illustrations from the campaign.
