VCCP, the integrated creative agency, has teamed up with Which? by backing the consumer watchdog’s latest campaign, #UNMUTEUK – a petition calling on government to ensure public servants act on any concerns raised by the public.

A collaboration between spoken word artist George the Poet and producer Jakwob the scheme is intended to end a culture of silence from Britons too polite, embarrassed or sceptical to speak up.

To achieve this a special music track has been recorded which has been ‘muted’. Only when the petition reaches 50,000 signatures will Which? pull the ear plugs out to enable the curious to hear what’s up, an overt effort to get people to sign the petition and back the campaign.

Alex Neill, head of campaigns and communications at Which? said: “We are really pleased such influential British artists are working with us on this campaign. We want people to take a stand in order to make their voices heard and complaints count in public services.”
