JCDecaux has appointed current head of trading at Future plc, Rob Elms, as the new sales director of its Airport division.

As sales director Elms is tasked with heading the sales team responsible for eight UK airport and rail environments, including London’s Heathrow Airport.

JCDecaux MD Alan Sullivan explained that the outdoor advertising company had been looking to move to the “next level in terms of our ability to provide creative and innovative solutions” and that Elms’ “extensive experience in delivering integrated multi-channel campaigns made him an ideal candidate for this role”.

Elms added: “This is an amazing time to be joining JCDecaux Airport. There are huge creative opportunities around the corner as the digitisation of sites continues apace. The outdoor market as a whole is in rude health and the recent opening of Heathrow Terminal 2: The Queen’s Terminal will give our division a huge boost. I look forward to working with such a talented group of people and capitalising on all the experiences I have gained both agency and media owner side.”

Elms brings with him a wealth of media experience to the new role having worked for both agencies and media owners during his career including MediaCom, MediaVest and MEC.
