The Movember Foundation grows comms strategy with PrettyGreen and Ketchum

The Movember Foundation has appointed PrettyGreen and Ketchum to handle its PR and communications requirements, following a strategic review.

PrettyGreen has been tasked to promote and develop the creative communications and ambassador activity around the annual Movember moustache-growing campaign.

Mark Stringer, founder of PrettyGreen, said: “When you spend time with the Movember team you realise how they have changed the charity landscape – they do good by having fun and in turn, push the boundaries. They’ve set us a big challenge for 2014 and that’s what excites and motivates us.”

Ketchum has been appointed to promote the Movember Foundation as a year-round men's health charity.

Denise Kaufman, CEO at Ketchum London, added: “The Movember Foundation is making a substantial and permanent difference to the nature of men’s health. We’re very proud to support a charity that is both highly effective and redefining their sector.”

The new appointments were driven by the need to have dedicated agency support for the Foundation.

Sarah Coghlan, UK country director at Movember, stated: “We are delighted to begin these new relationships with PrettyGreen and Ketchum. From the outset we were impressed by their energy, ideas and collaborative outlook and we are looking forward to the impact our combined work will have in realising Movember’s vision to have an everlasting impact on the face of men’s health.”

Both agencies will work closely together, reporting into head of communications and PR, Paul Mitcheson.
