AOL has announced that its entire library of over 900,000 videos is to be made available on Apple TV in the US, Canada and UK as part of efforts to broaden the platform base of its AOL On service.

Launched in the UK in March 2014 AOL On offers an eclectic range of content from food to sport with customised versions available for iOS enabled mobile and tablet devices.

Apple TV viewers will be able to access content created by owned and partner sites such as HuffPost Live, TechCrunch, and Makers alongside original series.

Ran Harnevo, president of AOL Video said “At AOL On, we've spent the past two years focused on programming all available OTT devices and this announcement represents our 15th integration over that timeframe. We are now able to provide Apple TV users with access to AOL's premium video programming through an easy-to-use interface featuring best-in-class design."

AOL content is now available on 15 connected TV devices including Samsung, Roku, and Amazon Fire TV.
