Business software and services provider Sage UK and Ireland has revealed that Gather.ly, a creative network, has won its UK wide competition to advertise its business on a billboard in East London.

In April this year Sage invited start-ups and small businesses across the country to submit a 60-second pitch video around how a billboard could benefit their firm. A public vote put Gather.ly in the top five before the winning video was then selected by a panel of experts at Sage.

Paul Cairney, head of brand marketing at Sage UK said: “The judges were really impressed by Gather.ly’s entry, they are worthy winners of this fantastic prize. We were delighted by the sheer volume and quality of entries, and we only wish that we could have offered a similar opportunity to all the entries we received.

“Our own research has found that getting your voice heard in a crowded marketplace can be a challenge. This prize gives Gather.ly a huge opportunity to springboard their growth and expand their network with 60,000 people walking past this site every day. Sage is hugely proud to be a part of their journey on the road to success.”

Gather.ly’s logo will now feature on the 160 square metre billboard, installed at blowUP media’s site at 333 Old Street in Tech City, for two weeks.

As part of the prize, the company worked with OgilvyOne, as well as an illustrator from Gather.ly’s own creative network before the final design was unveiled this week.
