Acxiom has appointed Ian James, previously chief digital officer EMEA for Starcom MediaVest Group (SMG), to the newly created role of European managing director.
The appointment comes as the company increases focus on bringing together the digital and offline data worlds.
James will report to Nada Stirratt, Acxiom’s global chief revenue officer, and will be responsible for all of Acxiom’s European operations.
Stirratt explained: “Ian’s appointment marks a significant step in developing Acxiom’s proposition across Europe as we look to cement and expand our offering around the world. His vast experience in leading and developing digital strategies for some of the world’s most recognizable brands will be instrumental to our growth and to ensuring we continue to deliver an exemplary level of innovation and service to our clients.”
Prior to SMG, James held roles such as global head of digital at Bacardi.
