M&C Saatchi has mistakenly announced that Lida has picked up work with Odeon Cinemas in its AGM statement to the AIM.

Ahead of the marketing services group holding its AGM, a notice revealed the contract wins for its direct marketing division LIDA, while M&C Saatchi chairman Jeremy Sinclair, claimed that the group has started the year “well” was trading “in line” with expectations.

The contracts with Land Rover and the Alzheimer's Charity had previously been announced earlier this year, although the contract to work on the No campaign for the Scottish referendum, announced last week was not mentioned.

Since the statement was released both Odeon and Lida have approached The Drum to claim that this statement was incorrect, and M&C Saatchi have added that it was due to 'a clerical error' but would not explain further.

A spokesperson for Odeon, told The Drum: "LIDA was involved in the pitch process to appoint a strategic CRM agency for ODEON, along with several other agencies. On this occasion, LIDA was unsuccessful and MBA has been appointed."

The announcement also highlighted the network winning the account for Douwe Egberts in February, while M&C Saatchi PR picked up work with Footlocker and Last Minute.

In Japan, the agency won Sony, while its new Stockholm office will work with Norwegian Airlines.

The Australian office has also won work with IAG, Lexus and Crimestoppers.

Meanwhile, Lida has also opened in Australia and Sweden.
