Intercontinental Group director of marketing to speak at Weber Shandwick Manchester’s Creative Conversation day

David Collyer, director of marketing at Intercontinental Hotel Group, is to be one of the guest speakers at Weber Shandwick Manchester's day long series of events: ‘Manchester's Creative Conversation’.

Taking place on Wednesday 18 June, to inspire creativity among the region’s business community. the day will begin at MediaCity UK with a breakfast event, ‘Putting the Spotlight on Creativity’, in partnership with Manchester Business School. Further sessions scheduled throughout the day include:

• ‘The DNA of Creativity in Business’ with Mark Batey, senior lecturer in organisational psychology at Manchester Business School

• ‘Creativity as Competitive Advantage’ with author and trainer Andy Green

• ‘When Creativity is Your Business’ with Louise Lynch from Libra TV

• ‘Creativity through the medium of poetry’ with Tony Walsh.

Additional speakers include David Collyer from Intercontinental Hotel Group, and Steve Kuncewicz from the Manchester Creative Studio.

Weber Shandwick will also use the event to reveal the findings of new research on what the North West’s business leaders really want from creative experts.

To round the day off, Weber Shandwick Manchester and partners Downtown in Business will host ‘I’m with the Brand’, a marriage of bands and brands where attendees control the playlist. A live Twitter feed (@MancBigConvo) will be taking suggestions of songs from the region’s favourite ad or marketing campaigns to create an interactive musical experience.
