Twitter has aired a sneak preview of an as yet unfinished documentary starring Sir Patrick Stewart, which will be completed during a presentation during the Cannes Lions 2014 advertising festival.

The Project #Live trailer shows Stewart, who is set to talk at the festival on 16 June, discuss how Twitter has brought the creative world into real-time, drawing on his recent viral tweet where the actor, along with comedian Rob Delaney, mocked a tweet sent by David Cameron.

“Well, it exploded,” He says in the documentary. “I think there is a hunger for this in the moment excitement. It connects them to events, connects them to people, instantly.”

Project #Live will be completed at the festival, with Twitter aiming to capture audience members’ reaction to clips airing at Cannes Lions. It explores how marketing professionals can use the social media platform to engage consumers in real-time.
