Talk Talk’s director of digital, Rahul Chakkara, will deliver the keynote address at the inaugural RAR Digital Awards, it was announced today.

The ceremony, which takes place next Tuesday (10 June), marks the first time the Recommended Agency Register has specifically rewarded digital agencies for delivering outstanding results and high levels of client satisfaction.

Chakkara, who was previously general manager at the BBC running its IPTV and mobile divisions, is responsible for Talk Talk's digital channels including sales and service.

In addition to his experience at the BBC, where he was also the creative director of the BBC iPlayer launch product, Chakkara worked for Procter & Gamble in Germany, Scandinavia and Belgium.

“We are delighted that Rahul will be joining us for our very first RAR Digital Awards,” commented Steve Antoniewicz, MD of RAR.

“Our guests, who are the best-rated digital agencies according to clients, can look forward to hearing from someone who has been responsible for an amazing digital transformation within one of the UK’s big success stories of the last decade.”

The awards cover agencies big and small and include categories like digital strategy, search, digital design and social. Nominated agencies include iCrossing UK, Reading room, The BIO Agency, Epiphany Solutions.

The RAR Awards take place at the Montcalm Hotel, London on Tuesday 10 June. A full list of finalists can be found here.
