Coral is understood to have handed its above-the-line creative account to Big Al's Creative Emporium.

The bookmaker is believed to have held a creative pitch in recent months, which saw it ultimately move the account out of DLKW Lowe, which had been working with the client since June 2012.

During the partnership, DLKW Lowe developed the Cornerman advertising creative featuring Enzo Calzaghe.

No one from Coral, Big Al's or DLKW Lowe would comment on the account move, however The Drum understands that the decision to review the account was in motion ahead of recent complaints made to the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) against the bookmaker.

Last week, a TV campaign for Coral was banned by the ASA for linking betting with seducation.

In January, Cogent Elliott was appointed to handle Coral's below the line World Cup activity, which will include TalkSport presenter Alan Brazil.
