Customers of Harris+Hoole will now be able to order and pay for their coffee via the chain’s mobile app, as it releases an update to help make the in-store experience more seamless.

When customers check-in to a store and make their coffee order through the ‘My Usual’ service within the app, they can then pay automatically via a top-up account.

“We’ve already had over 100,000 check-ins at our 36 shops since the app launched in August 2013, and we’re really excited about this next stage,” said Danielle Anderson, director of digital experience at Harris+Hoole.

“With the payments function making it even simpler for customers to enjoy a great cup of coffee. It is the fastest, easiest and most convenient way to pay by mobile.

“For the first time anywhere in the UK, a customer can walk into any H+H shop, order their usual from a barista who knows their name and how they like their coffee, and pay – all from just one tap on their mobile.”

The new payments facility is currently being rolled out across all Harris+Hoole shops.
