Apple's proposed acquisition of the Beats Electronics brand would see its founders Dr Dre and Jimmy loving join the company.
Reports surrounding the deal suggest that the technology giant is looking to recruit the two to unspecified roles.
Interscope-Geffen-A&M Records chairman loving is reportedly earmarked to spearhead a video venture at Apple, though it is less clear what role Dre would tae on.
According to the source quoted in TechCrunch Apple's £1.9bn ($3.2bn) buyout of Beats is now 70 per cent certain.
