Channel 4 strikes seven-figure deal with Novotel-owner Accor Hotels for weather sponsorship
Channel 4 has struck a seven-figure deal with Mercure and Novotel owner Accor Hotels to sponsor Channel 4 Weather.
The 12-month partnership kicks off this month and will cover daily TV bulletins presented by Liam Dutton and online weather coverage. The deal was negotiated by Havas Media and marks the first TV activity for Accor Hotels on Channel 4. The company replaces the Post Office as previous sponsor of the slot.
Tom Kislingbury, planning director at Havas Media, said: “As a brand that enables special trips and visits, a link to the weather is natural and we look forward to showcasing the features and activities available across Accor whatever the season.”

Deal: Accor Hotels owns the Novotel hotel chain
Other brands in the Accor portfolio include Ibis, Sofitel and Pullman.
