UKTV today announced it delivered a 22 per cent increase in adult impacts in April, while its share of commercial impacts - the number of TV ads watched at normal speed - increased to 9.37 per cent.

In January, UKTV reported commercial impacts of 8.2 per cent, while rates stood at 7.44 per cent in April 2013.

Paid-for entertainment channels Alibi, Gold, Watch and Really helped account for the growth, while newly-launched Drama had a 1.39 per cent share of commercial impacts.

UKTV also reported an increase in its video on demand service, with a 586 per cent increase in views.
