O2 cat becomes motivational speaker in next stage of Be More Dog campaign
O2 is promoting its revamped O2 Priority app and new offers with a £7m campaign, which sees England rugby players Mike Brown and Alex Goode trying to Be More Dog.
Following on from last year’s ad, where the ginger cat decided to try its luck at the dog’s life, this year’s commercial, set to launch on Saturday 17 May, shows the cat having become a motivational speaker and helping a rapt audience learn how to live the good life.
O2’s Priority offers, tickets and experiences are the focus of the campaign, which is set to run on TV and in cinemas, supported by out of home and online executions, with geo-located mobile adverts and homepage takeovers on a range of sites including MSN and YouTube.
"O2 Priority was created to help our customers live the good life with O2, thanks to hundreds of offers, discounts and deals available to choose from," said Nina Bibby, O2's marketing and consumer director. "Our new campaign reinforces that message in a playful way, encouraging people to Be More Dog and explore some fantastic experiences via our revamped app."
Updates to the O2 Priority app are rolling out this week, starting with the iPhone.
The ad, directed by Smith and Jones Films' Ulf Johanasson, will be aired during the FA Cup Final on ITV.
