Flappy Bird to be resurrected with ‘less addictive’ format, eventually
Flappy Bird creator Dong Nguyen has broken cover to talk about the hit game which vanished as quickly as it appeared, promising to resurrect the title with an added multiplayer after unceremoniously pulling the plug when the game’s success proved to much for him to bear.Speaking to CNBC’s Donna Burton Nguyen promised to code a ‘less addictive’ version of the title though warned fans that the new version wouldn’t appear anytime ‘soon’.Flappy Bird took mobile phone gaming by storm, briefly, racking up over 50m downloads prior to being pulled by its creator after a mere 28 days.
