Sky Bet names McGarryBowen as lead strategic and creative agency

Sky Bet has appointed McGarryBowen as its lead strategic and creative agency following a three-way pitch.

Sky Bet marketing director Rob Painter said of the appointment: “We wanted an agency who could act as a true strategic partner and marry the complexities and speed of our business with exciting brand thinking – McGarryBowen showed that it could deliver this and much more.”

The appointment comes after Painter joined Sky Bet just last year.

Rick Hirst, CEO of McGarryBowen, added: “We’ve got plans to shake up this market with Sky Bet’s unique mix of sporting heritage and betting credibility.”

The agency will begin its work through a multi-channel campaign later this year, with a predicted £17m annual media spend.
