The Drum shortlisted for four awards including best website at AOP Digital Publishing Awards
The Drum has been shortlisted for four awards, including website of the year, alongside some of the biggest names in publishing at the Association of Online Publishers' Digital Publishing Awards 2014.
In the business publishing categories, The Drum has been shortlisted for best editorial team, website of the year and digital publisher, while managing director Diane Young has been nominated for the digital commercial individual award.
Today's announcement follows the recent news that The Drum has been shortlisted for six PPA Awards, in which it is the reigning business magazine of the year.
Gordon Young, editor of The Drum, said of the latest recognition: "The Drum is delighted to be the sole marketing trade press representative in this prestigious event.
"It is a credit to our team that we find ourselves numbered among many of the publishers who we have always regarded to be the best in the business, and whose performance we have long aimed to emulate."
The AOP shortlist boasts some of the biggest names in publishing, including Guardian News and Media, Hearst and IPC Media.
The awards, which take place on 3 July, have been judged by a panel including Carla Buzasi, editor-in-chief at Huffington Post UK, James Chandler, global mobile director at Mindshare and Ross Sleight, chief strategy officer at Somo.
Tim Cain, managing director of AOP, said: “The entries to this year’s awards were amongst the strongest the AOP has ever seen – a true reflection of the strong position the online publishing industry is in."
The latest nominations cap an extremely successful 12 months for The Drum, which has secured a clutch of high-profile publishing awards including business magazine of the year, media brand of the year and editor of the year.
