Thorpe Park Resort vies to become the family destination for short breaks with 'An Island Like No Other' campaign

Thorpe Park Resort is to promote its new brand idea ‘An Island Like No Other’ in its first campaign created by TBWA\Manchester.

The creative aims to reposition the park as a more ‘family friendly’ destination and hopes to raise awareness of everything the resort has to offer.

TBWA\Manchester has set out to highlight that Thorpe Park Resort site on its own island, inviting families to come and explore a world of exciting experiences.

Visual effects studio Hoxton Redsox has worked alongside TBWA\Manchester to showcase the island as a bold, energetic and fun-packed destination with the creation of a hyper-real, animated CG island that wraps the TV spot breaking today (Wednesday 14 May).

Jason Wills, marketing director, Thorpe Park Resort, commented: “With TBWA\Manchester we have created a more premium and aspirational positioning for Thorpe Park Resort. It is a unique destination that appeals to people of all ages, and the work truly brings that to life.”

Thorpe Park Resort’s latest attraction Angry Birds Land – opening 24 May – is also being launched as part of the campaign.

Supporting radio and online activity will also run with a new website also promoting the new brand idea which will be a key part of Thorpe Park Resort’s strategy to become the destination for family short breaks.
