National Express has appointed Isobel to handle its advertising account, previously held by McCann Birmingham.

The £7m ad account appointment comes after Isobel was chosen in a four-way pitch run by the AAR, to work on a summer project - ‘Instant Getaways’, in 2013.

“Isobel have demonstrated a thorough understanding of our brand and business,” said Susanna Holdsworth, marketing director at National Express, adding that the agency has “come up with a great new campaign that we are all very excited about.”

The new campaign will include television, print and digital.

Paul Houlding, managing partner at Isobel, described National Express as “a joy to work with”.

He added that the agency has been appointed with the aim to them realise that by changing people’s perceptions of the brand and create a whole new generation of coach travellers.
