Internet mourns as cancer campaigner Stephen Sutton passes away
Stephen Sutton, the teenager whose campaign to raise awareness of the Teenage Cancer Trust, has sadly passed away.Sutton, who raised over £3m for charity, and whose campaign went viral, passed away peacefully in his sleep, following the regrowth of tumours which were blocking his airways.Last week, Sutton said of his disease: “Ultimately, there is no miracle cure for me. I am potentially the most positive and optimistic person in the world, but we have to be realistic with what we are up against. My disease is very advanced and will get me eventually, but I will try my damn hardest to be here as long as possible.”His video, when life gives you cancer, had almost half a million views at the time of writing.
