Pernod Ricard UK has added integrated marketing agency Cubo to its off-trade marketing roster as it looks to evolve its customer marketing strategy.

The appointment, which builds on a 12-year relationship between the group and agency, sees Cubo working across Pernod Ricard’s major labels including Absolut, Chivas Regal, The Glenlivet and Beefeater, as well as new additions to the UK portfolio – Oddka and Domecq 1820.

The brief includes a wide scope of work covering shopper marketing, digital activations, planning and customer marketing strategy, boosting the group’s premium brands in the off-trade space.

“Cubo stood out as a strong player creatively and strategically, sharing our values and intuitively understanding our thinking, and the direction of our individual brands and customers. We are delighted to announce this appointment, and feel confident we’re putting our brands in not just competent but ambitious and talented hands,” commented Dan Reuby, customer marketing director at Pernod Ricard UK.

Chris Walmsley, co-founder and head of planning at Cubo, said the appointment had “many creative and strategic opportunities for Cubo” and added that the agency was looking forward to getting started and “making a contribution to Pernod Ricard UK’s brands and business.”

Previous work for Pernod Ricard from the agency includes a variety of on- and off-trade activations, advertising campaigns, experiential events, trade communications and ambassador programmes in 30 markets worldwide.
