Virgin Trains has unveiled an X-Men: Days of Future Past wrap on an 11-car Class 390 Pendolino, which is set to run until July.

Rail livery specialists Stewart Signs manufactured the wrap using rail compliant, printable graphic film from diversified technology company 3M.

This is not the first X-Men tie in that Virgin Trains has created: Wolverhampton Station was renamed as Wolverine Station for April Fool’s Day, with all signage, platform names and station announcements changed.

Adrian Varma, partnerships and regions manager at Virgin Trains, commented: "We're always looking for different ways to bring the Virgin Trains’ experience to life for our customers. Partnerships are all about creating an immersive experience and we hope the newly refurbished X-Men train will do this for our customers and help to create excitement around the film."

It took the companies 160 hours to wrap the train in 549 square meters of film.
