Heineken scoops Brand of the Year and John Lewis’ Craig Inglis Best Marketer at The Drum’s Marketing Awards 2014

Heineken scooped the prestigious Brand of the Year at The Drum Marketing Awards 2014, which took place this evening at the Marriott Grosvenor Square Hotel in London.

John Lewis’ Craig Inglis won Marketer of the Year, while Maverick Advertising and Design and its client The Gibraltar Football Association took home the Grand Prix for their Team 54 ‘We’re Ready’ campaign for UEFA.

Life Size Media was awarded the Chairman’s Award for its work for Biome Bioplastics, while Carat beat off stiff competition to win Marketing Agency of the Year.

ITV picked up the Award for best Re-Brand/ Re-Launch Strategy of the Year, with Transform Cosmetic Surgery Group and Mark-making* receiving Commendations.

Direct & Promotional Strategy of the Year went jointly to Space for its Bulmers campaign #beginwithabulmers, and WDMP for its Fresh Routes, Fresh Powder campaign for Monarch Airlines.

Meanwhile BJL Group and Starcom MediaVest Group received Commendations.

The Sponsorship Strategy of the Year Award went to MEC for its client Morrisons for the Morrions Ant & Dec partnership, while Arena picked up a Commendation for its Domino’s X Factor app.

Branded Content Strategy of the Year went to Havas Media for East Coast Trains, as well as PHD Media for Sainsbury’s What’s Cooking.

Starcom MediaVest Group won Global Brand Strategy of the Year for Samsung Mobile, while Her Majesty's Government / Cabinet Office received a Commendation in the same category for it’s The GREAT Britain Campaign.

Digital Strategy of the Year – B2C – went to M&C Saatchi for RBS Group, and iProspect picked up a Commendation for its work for Asda and George, as did PHD Media for Sainsbury's; R/GA London for Getty Images, and Sony Music Entertainment / SYCO Music.

We Are Social scooped Social Media Strategy of the Year for its Heinz Grow Your Own campaign, with FreshMind, PHD and Twentysix all receiving Commendations.

The Advertising Strategy of the Year Award went to R/GA London for Getty Images, while Blinkbox picked up PR Strategy of the Year Award.

Design Strategy of the Year went to The Clearing for its Reconnecting Eurostar to the heart of Europe work.

Media Planning & Buying Strategy of the Year went to Carat for Shop Direct.
