Yahoo and Jose Mourinho look to find the next ‘Special One’ in football

Yahoo has launched its biggest ever social campaign, as it looks to find the next ‘special one’ in football.

The #Special1s campaign will be hosted on Tumblr, and is fronted by Yahoo’s global football ambassador, Jose Mourinho.

Users can enter by sending a 10 second video of their best footballing skills, either through the #Special1s Tumblr page or with the hashtag #Special1s via Flickr, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube or Vine.

In return to the video, each entrant will receive a pre-recorded reply from Mourinho, such as a shake of the head or a nod of respect.

Robert Bridge, VP head of international marketing at Yahoo, said “Football is a daily obsession for millions of us around the world. We wanted to capture that passion and create moments that are highly shareable and give fans the chance to get closer to Jose Mourinho though the Yahoo platform.”

The winner of the competition will receive a training session with Mourinho.
