Kate Howe, former Draftfcb European president, has been named managing director of gyro London.

At Draftfcb, Howe was behind the acquisition of digital agency Blue Barracuda and integrated agency Inferno and also oversaw the pitch and then management of the £40m global Beiersdorf account.

She has been similarly tasked with accelerating the growth of gyro London as well as redefining its B2B offering. She will work alongside executive creative director Mike Shackle.

“It's gyro's goal to completely redefine the B2B discipline as we know it,” said Christoph Becker, CEO and COO, gyro.

“Kate and Mike are the right leaders to take gyro London to new levels and replicate the momentum we’re experiencing in other markets. Our recent gains internationally are the embodiment of how much our global ideas shop has grown in stature.”

Howe replaces Nick Jefferson, who has served as MD since 2012. Jefferson has said he is moving onto new opportunities in Spain.
