Jackpot247 is outing a small village in Wales as one of the UK’s worst 3G ‘notspots’ in a new advertising push created by Noah.

The 30-second commercial sees an exasperated gamer trying in vain to find signal in and around the remote Powys village of Pwllglogw and is the first work for Jackpot247 from Noah since winning the account last month.

“We have 247 in our name. Connectivity is important to us. If people can’t get online, we have a problem. Of all the brands in the UK who should be campaigning for a better 3G and 4G service, it should be us,” explained Bjarke Larsen, chief operating officer of NetPlayTV, owner of the Jackpot247 brand.

Noah creative director Chas Bayfield commented: “Pwllgloyw is in the epicenter of a mobile internet desert. We are hoping that our campaign will encourage the local council and mobile phone providers to improve the service here.

“The phone companies claim that we are living in a completely connected world. But we know this not to be true. Why should someone in Powys pay the same money for a service that would give them much more connectivity if they lived in Manchester or Birmingham?”

Included in the creative is the hashtag #NoSpot247 in a bid to kick-start social media conversation to name and shame other mobile internet dead zones in the UK.
