Yahoo has signed an exclusive partnership with Twentieth Century Fox which will see the creation of a content hub on Yahoo Movies to show cast interviews and behind-the-scenes footage for X-Men: Days of Future Past.

As part of the deal, Yahoo will live-stream the global premiere of the film in New York on 10 May and the London premiere on 12 May. The hub will also feature exclusive video series, including one where Hugh Jackman travels back in time to interview himself in 1999.

Michael Pennington, head of entertainment at Yahoo, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be working with Twentieth Century Fox Film to provide a deeply integrated content experience for this film – our users love the franchise.

“Fox were trying to attract new fans to the franchise as well as give die-hard fans something new. I’m delighted that Yahoo’s scale and creatively executed program ticks all the boxes.”

Bettina Sherick, senior vice president, international strategic digital marketing, Twentieth Century Fox Film, added: “Yahoo enables us to showcase X-Men: Days of Future Past content that represents the major cast, massive scope, action and spectacle to excite the audience even further.

“From the cast interviewing each other to red carpet live streams around the world, Yahoo is an excellent way for us to reach audiences of all ages who will be able to follow along as the cast travels the globe to present X-Men: Days of Future Past.”
