The Drum has won a media innovation award and its publisher Carnyx has also picked up a prize today on the back of a bumper year.

Accolade: The Drum has picked up a media innovation award

The accolade was announced at the Digital Media Innovation Conference in London, held by the Software and Information Industry Association, which praised The Drum’s business strategy for delivering “its most successful year ever”.

The organisation noted: “The Drum has grown from a regional marketing-focused magazine to become one of the UK’s leading independent media brands and an influential partner to the UK marketing industry.”

Meanwhile, Carnyx, the parent company of The Drum, also picked up the publishing prize at the event.

The achievement follows a string of awards for The Drum last year. In June, The Drum was named best business magazine in the UK at the PPA Awards, and in December the publication won four awards at the Scottish PPA Awards, including Scottish Magazine of the Year.

In addition, The Drum was last year named Media Brand of the Year at the PPA’s Independent Publisher Awards, while editor Gordon Young was crowned Editor of the Year.
