Bauer Media has created a fresh website for rock music title Kerrang to improve mobile compatibility, social links and advertising opportunities.

Re-launch: The Kerrang website

According to a statement from the company, the site has “redefined itself as a social news and entertainment site” for young rock fans, providing them with shareable content, video, audio, mini-interviews and articles in the popular list format.

The site has launched with partners including the Festival Republic, Atlantic Records, Cooking Vinyl and Aloud.com, and the deals were brokered by the7stars and Sold Out. The site has been optimised for mobile and tablet and other branded services KerrangTV and K Radio Player have been integrated.

Publisher David Bostock said: “We’re really proud of the new site, it will enable clients to serve advertising messages targeted by device, region and channel as well as delivering clickable skins, high impact billboards, double MPUs and homepage to site-wide takeovers.

“We’re looking forward to working with partners looking on cross-platform commercial solutions and branded native advertising content.”

The focus on native advertising builds on other similar projects from Bauer Media, such as the recently launched online women's magazine The Debrief, which aims to cover much of its costs through native advertising.
