Jamie Foxx is set to be brought to life in an “electrifying” out of home campaign from 8 April to celebrate the launch of Sony Pictures’ The Amazing Spider Man 2.

Using electroluminescent technology, Foxx’s character ‘Electro’ will be animated with bolts of lightning on Clear Channel six sheets around the country.

The sheets form part of a larger OOH campaign, created by Manning Gottlieb OMD, in excess of £1m, including bus wraps and T sides, and backlit spots including the IMAX. OOH planning and buying was carried out by Talon.

Oli Cooper, business director at Manning Gottlieb OMD said: “With The Amazing Spider-Man 2 taking the franchise to new heights, we needed our OOH campaign to do the same. This creative use of technology strategically placed across the UK, will spark imagination and ensure it’s the film everyone’s talking about this Easter.”

The Amazing Spiderman 2 is released in the UK 18 April.
