Dominos Pizza sees ecommerce grow to 70% of UK deliveries

Domino's Pizza has revealed that 70 per cent of its delivered sales in the UK is now ordered online.

The company, which reported a 14.8 per cent rise in system sales to £188.5m during its first quarter of trading this year, has also grown its ecommerce figures to 69.4 per cent of UK deliveries, while UK sales online were up by 25 per cent to £103m, of which 34 per cent was made through mobile devices.

Stephen Hemsley, chairman, of Dominos said that the search for a new CEO was still underway, while interim CEO, David Wild, added that the company was on target to open between 40-50 new stores in the UK this year.

The company also h lighted its Winter Survival Deal as its most successful ever, helping its like-for-like sales across 725 stores increase by 10.8 per cent.
