Lewis Blackwell, former group creative director at Getty Images, joins Blipfoto board

Lewis Blackwell, previously group creative director at Getty Images and editor-in-chief of Creative Review magazine, he been appointed to the board of daily photo journaling platform Blipfoto.

Blipfoto allows people to share their stories, through pictures, one day at a time, with users only allowed to post one photo a day.

Joe Tree, Blipfoto founder and CEO, said: "I'm delighted to welcome Lewis onto the Blipfoto board. It's a particularly exciting time in the company's growth, with all efforts focussed on developing our international audiences.

"We've got some big things in the pipeline to announce later this year, which bring a unique set of challenges. I'm sure Lewis' skills and experience will play a key part in helping us navigate the road ahead."

As well as his prior roles in the design and photography arena, Blackwell has acted as an adviser to private equity investors, entrepreneurial businesses and non-profits.

He said of his appointment: : "I have a love for and understanding of photography and beautiful photographic products, so this was an interesting opportunity.

"Blipfoto is unique. It's is not just a depository of pictures, the photos you find here tell stories - and that can't be replicated."

The move comes as Blipfoto looks to further its international development.
