The Post Office has announced that RSA’s chief marketing officer Peter Markey is to join the company as its chief marketing officer.
In the role Markey will be responsible for all above and below-the-line media as well as brand development, customer insight, digital marketing and social media.
Prior to RSA, Markey was marketing director for More Th>n Insurance and also held roles at Onetel, the AA and British Gas.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to work for one of the most iconic brands in the UK,” commented Markey.
“I look forward to elevating the Post Office brand to achieve its ambition of becoming a multichannel retailer that will meet the changing needs of its customers.”
He will report to Martin George, chief commercial officer, who joined the Post Office last year.
Earlier this month, Markey was revealed as the RAR awards keynote speaker.
