Meat-free food brand Quorn has cooked up its first mobile app with Big, with the aim to provide recipe ideas for people on the go.

The recipes include a series of ‘how to’ videos, with the ability to save favourites for future use, as well as allowing users to create their own shopping list, which can then be emailed or sent via text.

Quorn’s international marketing director, Peter Harrison, commented: “We have already seen our consumers interact heavily with the brand using mobile devices, so creating this app was a logical next step in order to respond to our fans’ needs and lifestyle.”

Currently available on the iTunes App Store, the app puts recipes into sections such as 30-minute specials, international foods, and deli specials.

Matt Butterworth, digital partner at Big Communications added: “Developing Quorn’s very first mobile app based on consumer intelligence gives it a strong base to be a huge success. The team have done a brilliant job at enhancing and maximising the user journey experience. It truly responds to consumer eating and lifestyle habits across the wide target audience.”
